Matchups

The Matchups dialog box is available to the manager whenever they need information to make the best managerial decisions.  For example, you can access the Matchups dialog when contemplating a pinch hitter, pinch runner, or any defensive change.  Using the The Matchups dialog box, managers can view both team's lineups, benches, bullpens, and player cards.  To view a summary of any player's real life statistics, just hover over that player in the Matchups dialog.

To analyze the current situation, a manager can select a batter (or pitcher) from one team and a pitcher (or batter) from the opposing team and examine the matchup between the two players by viewing the Combined card located in the middle of the Matchups dialog box.  Batters and pitchers can be selected from a team's lineup (including the current pitcher located at the bottom of the lineup), a team's bullpen, or a team's bench.  Player ratings and pitcher fatigue can also be viewed in the Batter and Pitcher cards.

The batters displayed on the bench are sorted based on probability of getting an extra-base hit.  In addition, players that are currently pinch-hitting or pinch-running will be shown on the bench using a blue font.  In the Bullpen, rested relief pitchers are shown first, then rested starting pitchers, then fatigued relief pitchers, and finally fatigued starters.  Fatigued pitchers are shown using a red font.  In addition, pitchers in the bullpen are sorted based on their ability to get batters out.
